Platform Beds With Drawers

There are many benefits of having platform beds with drawers in your bedroom. The very obvious benefit of having drawers is that you get some nice space to store linen such as bed sheets, cushions, cushion covers below the horizontal platform of the bed.

This makes the storage space required for these items inside the wardrobe free for many other things. If you don't want to make space available for these items in the wardrobe, then the size of the wardrobe can be reduced too.

This can have a very positive effect in a small bedroom. A small bedroom with scarcity of space can look bigger because more floor area gets revealed when the storage goes under the platform bed.

In case of platform beds for single person (single platform bed) the bed can have two drawers that slide horizontally on individual, tracks. For a double platform bed there can be four big drawers or some platform beds have even six small drawers sliding horizontally.

There is one more possibility of having drawers in a platform bed. I have never seen this in any of the designs presently sold in the marketplaces. The head board of the bed if not aligned with the wall behind can have storage space in the form of small drawers too. This can be used to tore small towels, or children clothing.

Thus platform beds with drawers can save huge amount of space if used creatively. The free space that you gain after the drawers are goes under bed can be utilized for some extra furniture or even an be kept as a circulation space so that a small bedroom look bigger.
